Pancake Art

    6/20/18

On our hunt for new things to try (you may have noticed that I’ve roped in my sister because she’s bored and I’m interesting) Zoe showed me a video of someone doing pancake art. This was few days ago and it was pretty darn cool, but I haven’t had the time or the hunger to do it until today. It was definitely a process. We learned as we went - for example, I learned when to turn the stove to a higher heat, and how long to wait before adding the second color, and Zoe learned what a lion’s face looks like. Here are our pancakes from start to finish (labeled in case you can’t tell what they are).
B's first cat.

Z’s nice simple leaf (smart move).

B’s new and improved cat.

Z’s first large lion.

B’s crappy bicycle which she messed up and it fell apart.

Z’s second lion - this time she looked at the picture while she “drew.”

B’s maple leaf (like syrup, get it?).

B’s rose (which is in four pieces but you can’t really tell from this picture).

B’s cup of tea (on which the letters are backwards but it’s still pretty darn good.
